30 years of manufacturing firefighting equipment under the THT brand
This year THT Polička, s.r.o. celebrates the 30th anniversary of the production of firefighting equipment under the THT brand.
On this occasion, we held a meeting with our business partners and customers on Thursday 12 September. The event took place despite the bad weather, including an accompanying programme – an exhibition of firefighting equipment, a Trialshow, a ride in a historic RTO bus around the sights of Polička, a visit to the Polička brewery and a competition for prizes.
A brief history:
1899 – The Stratílek company was founded in Vysoké Mýto – production of fire sprinklers and fire accessories.
1948 – Nationalization – new name THZ (Factory of fire extinguishing equipment).
1962 – Incorporation of THZ into the state enterprise KAROSA.
1985 – Transfer of fire equipment production to the 06 KAROSA plant in Polička.
1992 – Founding of the company Továrna hasicí techniky, s.r.o. (abbreviated THT, s.r.o.)
1994 – Továrna hasicí techniky, s.r.o. buys the 06 KAROSA plant from the state as part of privatisation and starts production of firefighting equipment under the THT brand
2014 – Change of name to THT Polička, s.r.o.
